Turn business card spend into premium travel value.

Who this is for

Is PointsCFO for you?

This is built for one specific kind of person. If three out of four of these sound like you, keep reading.

The Freedom Trip Blueprint

Five deliverables. One premium trip booked. Twelve months of clarity.

This is not a course, a coaching call, or a generic points consultation. It is a done-with-you strategy that turns your business spend into a real premium trip and gives you a clear 12-month plan.

01

Card Spend & Points Audit

We review every Canadian card you hold, every loyalty balance you have, and roughly 12 months of business spend by category. Then we identify where value is leaking through weak earn rates, poor redemption habits, inactive points, and cards that no longer fit.

02

12-Month Card Routing Plan

A custom routing map for your business spend. Which cards to keep, add, or phase out. Which categories go where. Which welcome bonuses to pursue and when, without creating chaos for your credit or bookkeeping.

03

Travel ROI Blueprint

We define the outcome first: destination, dates, cabin, hotel level, and target cash value. Then we reverse-engineer the points required, the programs to use, the transfer paths, and the booking windows.

05

30 Days Priority Support

Email and DM access for 30 days after delivery. Questions on card timing, spend routing, transfers, redemptions, and implementation as you begin running the plan.

How it works

Four steps from “I have no idea what my points are worth” to boarding pass.

STEP 01

Points Potential Audit

We hop on a call. You tell me what your business spends each month and where the money goes. I estimate the travel value your current setup may be leaving on the table. No pitch unless there is a clear fit.

You send your card list, category-level statements with sensitive details removed, and current points balances. No passwords. No full card numbers. I dig into the math.

~60 min on your side
STEP 03

Your Freedom Trip Blueprint

A clear written plan plus a 90-minute walk-through call. You see your card stack, routing rules, earning plan, redemption target, and timeline laid out in plain English.

Delivered in 7–10 days
STEP 04

We Guide Your First Booking

The redemption moves from theory to action. We help you turn points into a confirmed flight or hotel booking and show the cash value versus points used.

A multi-continent family business-class run across Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Etihad. The cash price on these seats was eye-watering — north of $55,000. We paid in points. That's ~12x the value most Canadians get when they redeem in an airline portal.

Used the Etihad stopover program to add a luxury stay at the Anantara Eastern Mangroves in Abu Dhabi. Room would have priced out at ~$900 USD/night. We paid 5,000 Etihad Guest miles + $300 USD cash — effectively buying $600 of value with the points. Stopover programs are one of the most underrated levers in Canadian points strategy and almost nobody talks about them.

The trip that turned me from points-curious to points-serious. A 2019 family return to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, redeemed on points my wife had quietly accumulated on a card I'd never paid attention to. The math hit me in the kettle aisle of a Canadian Tire — and I haven't stopped running it since.

The Freedom Trip Blueprint
CAD $750

A focused, done-with-you engagement for Canadian business owners who want to turn existing card spend into premium travel value without learning every loyalty program themselves.

Full Blueprint. All five deliverables. One premium booked trip.
The PointsCFO Guarantee
If we can't find $5,000 in travel value, you don't pay.

If your Audit does not surface at least $5,000 of realistic travel value from your current points plus projected 12-month spend, you walk. No refund process required because you are never invoiced in the first place.

✓ Zero risk. Zero pressure. Zero exceptions.
Why not DIY?

"Can't I just figure this out myself?"

Sure. You can also do your own taxes, fix your own roof, and write your own contracts. The question isn't can you. It's what's your hour worth and how much is being left on the table while you learn.

Same 100,000 points. Different math.

The gap between DIY airline-portal redemptions and a strategic redemption isn't 20%. It's a 10x+ swing in real travel value.

Real numbers, real trip. The 12.1¢/point figure is from a $55,000 multi-continent business class run on 454,000 points. The points are the same. The math is everything.

The rules change constantly.

Aeroplan, Amex MR, RBC Avion — every program rewrites partner charts, transfer ratios, and sweet spots every few months. Staying current is a part-time job.

DIY usually lands under 1¢ per point.

Our target on key redemptions is 2–5 cents per point — sometimes more. On a 100,000-point balance, that's the difference between a $1,000 trip and a $4,000 one.

Your time is the expensive input.

You run a business. Spending Sunday afternoons reverse-engineering loyalty programs is the worst possible use of an owner's hour. We've already done the nerd work.

FAQ

The questions every owner asks before we get on a call.

What happens if you can't find a trip I actually want?
In practice, we only take you on as a client if the free Audit already shows strong potential. But if — after you've joined and we've built your Freedom Trip Blueprint — we can't find at least one premium trip you're genuinely excited about and that represents strong value for your points, I'll keep working with you at no extra cost until we do.
Who is this for, exactly?
Canadian business owners and incorporated professionals spending $10,000+/month on cards. If you're under that or you don't have a business structure to run spend through, this won't pay off for you.
Do I need a lot of points already?
No. Most clients come in with under 100,000 points across everything. The 12-month earning plan is where most of the value comes from.
What if I mostly get cash back right now?
Then you're in the most common starting position — and you're almost certainly leaving the most money on the table. Cash back is usually 1–2% back. Points, redeemed well, run 4–10%+ in equivalent travel value. We'll show you the gap on the Audit.
Do you apply for cards in my name?
No. You apply for every card yourself. We tell you which ones, in what order, and when to time them. You stay in full control of your credit.
Will you log into my accounts?
Never. You share screenshots, statements (with card numbers blacked out), and balances. We never need your passwords.
Is this only for Aeroplan?
No. Aeroplan is one of the strongest Canadian programs but it's rarely the answer alone. We work across Aeroplan, Amex MR, RBC Avion, BMO Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, plus partner currencies most Canadians never touch (Avios, Asia Miles, Flying Blue, Virgin).
Can you help with U.S. cards too?
No. We're Canada-only by design. Most points content on the internet is U.S.-centric and doesn't apply here. Our entire focus is what works for Canadians.
How long does the Blueprint take?
7–10 business days from the moment you send your data to delivery of the written plan. Then a 90-minute walk-through. First trip is usually booked within the following 2–3 weeks.
How are you different from a travel agent?
Travel agents book trips with cash. We book trips with points. Different math, different relationships, different outcome — usually 3–5x more trip for the same dollar input.
Do you earn commissions from banks or card issuers?
We may use affiliate links for some card recommendations, and we'll always disclose it when we do. The plan is built around what's right for you, not what pays the highest commission. (Spoiler: the highest-commission cards are rarely the highest-value ones for Canadians.)
Is this tax-deductible?
Talk to your accountant. Many of our clients write off the Blueprint as a business expense because it directly improves how their business spending performs. Your accountant will know what fits your structure.
What happens after the Blueprint?
You run the plan. We're around for 30 days of priority support. After that, some clients move onto a continuity retainer (the Points CFO Retainer — quarterly reviews and ongoing booking). Most don't need it for at least a year. Up to you.

Meet the founder

The guy doing the math.

A few quick answers so you know who you're actually getting on a call with. No corporate bio. No "passionate about travel since I was a kid" puffery. Just the stuff people usually ask me in DMs.

What's your favourite airport?
Changi, Singapore. Hands down. There's an actual rainforest inside the terminal — canopy walk, butterfly garden, koi pond, a waterfall taller than the building you grew up in. I've spent 12-hour layovers there on purpose. Most North American airports treat you like cattle. Changi treats you like a guest.
What's the most money you've ever saved on a single trip?
Around $55,000. A multi-continent business class run for my family across Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Etihad. Total points spent: 454,000. That works out to roughly 12.1 cents per point — about ten times what most Canadians get when they redeem in an airline portal. Same points. Wildly different outcome.
Biggest pet peeve with the points industry?
Devaluations. The moment a program builds a great sweet spot, they kill it. Qatar Airways used to be one of the strongest Aeroplan partners on the planet — until Aeroplan quietly nerfed the rate and the deal vanished. The lesson I run on now: don't hoard points. Burn them on the trips you actually want, while the redemption still exists.
Favourite and least favourite airline?
Favourite: Qatar Airways. The Qsuite is the best business class product flying today and the food alone makes you forget you're at 38,000 feet. Least favourite: Air Canada. The metal is fine. Aeroplan is the best loyalty program in Canada by a wide margin. But the actual flying experience is so far behind the program that I route around them whenever I can.
